Job Description

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the supervision and direction of pharmacy staff, activities and business at specific sites of the Health Center. 

Supervision of Pharmacy staff and operational activities and development and training of pharmacy staff. Employee evaluations. Collaboration with Lead Pharmacy Technician to assure quality of Pharmaceutical care meets or exceeds department standards. Maintains Financial control and adhere to goals  and objectives set forth by Pharmacy Director. Utilize efficient drug purchasing techniques. Provide financial information to Pharmacy Director, accounting or administration. Pharmacy Clinical Activities such as Interacting with medical staff on Pharmaceutical outcomes and interventions, assuring proper patient consultation, acting as drug information resource, assure prescription practices are maintained at a high level of professionalism and accuracy. Maintain Legal Requirements and serves as the Pharmacist in Charge with the Board of Pharmacy. Assures that the rules and regulations of the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy, State and Federal government are followed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited Pharmacy program
  • Current Arizona State Pharmacy Board License, in good standing
  • Familiar with the FQHC and the 340b contract pricing program
  • Previous experience working in a Pharmacy with supervision of staff preferred
